Shipping & Policies


Due to COVID-19, orders are being shipped M/W/F. We saw an initial severe spike in transit times, particularly international transit times, but these appear to be returning to “normal” in most cases. Thank you everyone for your patience and continued patronage. We wish you all health and safety in these trying times.


Shipping

  • Shipping timelines are as follows:

    • Inventoried/ready to ship items are typically shipped the next business day

    • Minor customizations (engraving, for example) typically adds 5 business days

    • Made-to-order items typically take 10 business days

    • Fully custom work can take several months to complete, depending on the project. If time is a factor, please inquire about this at the outset of the quoting process.

  • Orders are shipped USPS.

  • Items are typically shipped Monday - Friday

  • Shipping quotes are fetched in real time from the carrier upon checkout. You'll be able to see a total price before you confirm payment.

  • When your order ships, you will receive an automated confirmation email with tracking information. (occasionally these are erroneously caught by spam filters, check your spam if you haven’t gotten one)

International shipping

  • There is typically no tracking for international orders past "acceptance" as once the items leave the United States tracking no longer functions.

  • It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to ascertain the legality and importability of all products purchased from Silent Thunder Ordnance LLC, we can not be held responsible for customs fees, import tariffs, seizures, or declinations.

  • We will make every effort to provide documentation to aid importation, upon customer request.

  • Effective 1/1/2021 - all shipments to the United Kingdom are at the buyer’s own risk. We are not liable for lost or returned orders. (Brexit has created, at least on paper, a major shift in tariffs, customs processing, and enforcement for the United Kingdom. As a result, until it is clear how these policy changes will play out, we simply can not guarantee delivery of orders to our valued UK customers.We hope this is a better option than prohibiting sales to the UK entirely.)

Warranty/Service

  • We warrant our products to be free of defects of materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This does not include damage due to misuse, abuse, negligence, disassembly, improper maintenance, modification, wear and tear, or repair by anyone other than Silent Thunder Ordnance LLC.

  • Products thought defective must be returned for assessment. Defective products covered by warranty will be repaired, refunded, or replaced at the exclusive discretion of Silent Thunder Ordnance LLC.

  • Products which are damaged, not covered under warranty, may be sent back for repairs if possible. Customers may receive an estimate for materials and labor for the repair. Not all types of damage are feasible/possible/reasonable to repair.

Returns

  • Returns of new items must be made within 30 days, and items must be in new-in-packaging condition.

  • Returns made after 30 days are conditional and will be evaluated by occurrence.

  • If the item is unused and still in new-in-packaging condition the buyer may receive a full refund (no restocking fee) on production items. (This does not include shipping costs)

  • Custom orders are non-returnable and production deposits are non-refundable.

  • Built to order items may be returned, however restocking fees may apply.

  • Returns of used items are evaluated by occurrence. (used condition includes, but is not limited to: attached, cut, shot, fondled, turned on, modified, displayed, pimped, or anything else that makes the item, even if not readily discernible, different from how it was delivered)

  • For any returns that have other complications, products which are defective, other issues, or any questions please email us using the contact form. (occasionally our replies are erroneously caught by spam filters, check your spam if you haven’t gotten a response)
