Springer Barrel Adapter
Springer Barrel Adapter
This experimental product can be used to attach our moderators to springers with unthreaded barrels. It uses a collet system to clamp onto the outside of the barrel, and was specifically intended to work with a springer’s unique recoil. The other end threads directly onto the rear of the moderator. The system was intended to minimize mass at the end of the barrel, clocking in at 50 grams, something many break barrels are sensitive to. Collets are interchangeable, allowing one moderator w/ adapter to mount to many airguns.
A word on springers and flow: our flow factor calculator is built around PCPs, where it is easy to calculate pressure and volume at the muzzle. Springers are a little less simple. Muzzle energy is a good analogue, if you want to make your own estimations. In general though we’ve found most springers, having no shroud or reflex volume, want a moderate flow moderator.
