A robust air-tight hard case filled with pluckable foam is the perfect transport solution for optics, hardware, and about a million other things you want to keep secure and don’t want wet or broken. These are a very sturdy build, and offer excellent protection from both weather ingress and impact. Two eyelets offer a provision for locking to secure the case’s contents. Latches and hinge have firm detents to hold the case open when working with the contents. A purge valve on the front allows opening after drops in atmospheric pressure (vacuum created by a rapid decent from altitude could otherwise “lock” the case closed). The convenient hinged carry-handle folds down for transport but provides easy carrying.
