Secret Menu

Congratulations, you've found our secret menu. Here you can find products which don't fit in, are oddball, we can't produce in large volume, don't have the level of polish we expect from our standard line of products, are experimental, are pet projects, etc. Keep an eye on this space as we don't advertise it, and you never know what you'll find here, but don't forget this page exists for you: our loyal fans and customers.

Minelli Rear Monopod Adapter and LOP Shim - Print to Order

from $22.00

No surprise, we’re big fans of the FX Crown over here. This particular project came from a commission; a gentleman came to us looking for a way to increase the length-of-pull on his Crown. The resultant shim is available in lengths ranging from 15-100mm. It occurred to us however that this would be the perfect way to add a STANAG/Picatinny rail section to the rear of the FX Crown, the most obvious use for which is a rear monopod.

A little background: For those unaware, this stock is made by an Italian company called Minelli. The buttpad, adjustable for height and cant, appears to be a standardized part they use, not just on the Crown, but on other stocks they offer such as that on the Daystate Redwolf. This standardization ensures a certain conformity, stocks must match the profile of the buttpad therefore it should be a consistent shape. Between the stock and the buttpad then is the logical place to insert a shim of some sort to increase length of pull. That is what we’ve designed here. Installation is as simple as removing the buttpad via two screws, slipping the shim into the space between, and reinstalling. Depending on length, you may require longer screws (Not included). More information on the entire process, including development, can be found on our BLOG.

These are printed on demand on our custom built 3D printers with the same strength and print quality improvements as our other products, a benefit from our years of tireless material development.
