Scalpel Blade Sampler Pack

Secret Menu

Congratulations, you've found our secret menu. Here you can find products which don't fit in, are oddball, we can't produce in large volume, don't have the level of polish we expect from our standard line of products, are experimental, are pet projects, etc. Keep an eye on this space as we don't advertise it, and you never know what you'll find here, but don't forget this page exists for you: our loyal fans and customers.

Scalpel Blade Sampler Pack

$12.00

By popular demand, we’re offering a sampler pack, two of each style, for our most commonly used blade styles. They are #9, 10, 10A, 11, 12, 16, and 40.

  • #10A - This is our standard blade. A great general purpose workhorse. A very fine point which can do detail when you want it, but with a rigid enough body to wade into heavier work when you need it.

  • #10 - Like a miniature bowie knife, this blade excels at slicing but is also good for general purpose use. If you’re the kind of guy who slides blades into things to pry them open, this is probably your huckleberry.

  • #40 - The last of the “general purpose” style blades, this is a double-edged option. That extra edge length gives you options. Keep one perfectly sharp while ragging the other cutting abrasive materials? Doing a lot of piercing for leatherwork? Just think it looks cool? You’re not alone, we love this one too.

  • #16 - This blade is a workhorse, at the large end of the scalpel blade spectrum. The sheepsfoot shape protects things from nicks with the tip, while the perfectly straight edge is incredibly useful for cutting or scraping things flat. From touching up a spot you missed shaving, to deeper cutting tasks in more rigid materials, this blade is a little more specialized but hard to live without.

  • #11 - An exquisitely fine point for detail work in hard to reach places. It really gives you the option to reach in somewhere and make a very fine and precise cut. Need a needle-fine hole pierced in something? It does that great too. If you do a lot of model work, you may find yourself reaching for this blade often.

  • #12 - It is like a mini hawkbill, but being this fine-pointed allows you to do so much more. From working with fine details to cutting hard-to-reach spots, you’d be surprised how often you find yourself reaching for this blade.

  • #9 - Possibly the most underrated and unexpectedly useful blade on this list. The rounded points prevent undesired cutting/scoring at the margins, while the angle of the blade permits cutting and scraping in otherwise inaccessible spots. A must-have for model work, and so much more.
