Lume Insert
Lume Insert
Lume inserts press into knife lanyard holes, adding passive glow identification with no tools, no adhesive, and no permanent modification. Best used with the lanyard hole exposed at the top of the pocket, where ambient light charges the insert continuously. Also useful for finding your knife on the nightstand, for all those midnight cutlery activities.
Key Features:
Strontium aluminate glow:* Brightest and longest-lasting phosphorescent technology available; green is the brightest and longest lasting color
Tri-oval geometry: Press-fits into round lanyard holes with a small amount of squish, accommodating a range of hole diameters without tools or adhesive
Temperature and solvent resistant rubber: Compatible with lubricants and cleaning solvents common in knife maintenance
Trimmable to fit: Can be cut with any sharp blade to accommodate shorter lanyard holes
Four sizes available: 4.8x12.2mm, 5x12.2mm, 6.3x11.5mm, and 6.3x13.3mm; see compatibility list below
UV charging recommended: 320-400nm UV light charges fastest; 365nm LED lights work well; purple requires sunlight or UV to fully charge. Learn more about colors and our glow tech
Four sizes covering a wide range of popular knives. If your model isn't listed, the inserts have enough squish to fit holes slightly outside the listed dimensions, and can be trimmed to length with a sharp blade.
